Grimaldi don’t appear to own the ferry mentioned any more

Found the ferry named in article, currently in service between China and Korea as Rizhao Orient.

As we have the Kerry, current AF Michela and former Stena Egeria, Hoa Sen which sailed from Korea coming soon for Brittany Ferries, could this report be based on incorrect information ?

Interestingly there's nothing for Cork on the BF timetable after November 4th at present!

Focus might be on UK - France and Spain after Brexit.

Or not.  Ireland - France - Spain would make more sense than that.  UK - France - Spain would remove an Ireland to UK option (an easy win if a fraction of the port congestion reported by some happens). It would also be an incursion directly into Brittany Ferries "turf", and Plymouth to France isn't a huge market anyway.  I suspect if this is true and a route is in the pipeline Grimaldi's car import/export work could be a big factor.  Such contracts could be the year round guaranteed revenue the route needs.  Grimaldi of course already have a presence in both Cork and Vigo!

Hope it’s a better boat than Brittney Ferries one

A spokesperson for the Port of Cork company told CorkBeo they have not yet had an official approach from the promoters of the new ferry route; "But we would welcome additional routes from Cork as a very positive development".

Just curious…what's wrong with it? I've been on the Cork–Roscoff run (Pont Aven) and it was pretty good, certainly better than anything else ex Ireland at the moment.

Nor would you expect there to be: that's when they stop operating for the winter.  It's not a year-round service.

If you want to travel on the Pont Avon this winter you will need to travel to Poland,
