Sean Patterson recalls the collision between the inbound Newry collier "Retriever" with the London and North Western’s steamer "Connemara" bound for Holyhead in 1916 when more than 90 people lost their lives. The talk covers the events leading up to the disaster and its aftermath as well as recent insights.
