The normal offloading of new cars and vans. Epsilon returns to Rosslare to offload after its Cherbourg to Dublin sailing  8).

Sometimes (quite often) they cannot offload the cars quick enough and the IOI is delayed.

TC..its not going to be pretty for all the staff for sure. The power the unions have in France is scary to say the least. Its a horrendously bureaucratic Country to do business with.  :o

Was DFDS planning to employ some of the former myferrylink staff?? :o

I saw the Inver trucks there myself last week while passing through Pembroke dock.

they refuel by driving inside the ship. Inver do the same in Rosslare for the Oscar wilde 8)

i clicked on a few ships in the irish sea last night and the delays and the data delays went from 58 minutes for the stena europe (which was located nor far from tuskar..to ships further south many with 258 minute delays on data...

i undertstand that there can be delays with ais but don't think its been this bad..

Is anybody else finding that marine traffic has been really poor in the last few months??

not picking up ships and when it does the data is really old?

demi....ive sailed on a couple of these ships from dover to dunkirk and calais to dover. The ramp at the back is very different to the conventional roro ships i have been on. It is designed for a much faster departure at the port. In dover for example they didnt have to wait ages for a ramp to close up, the dfds ship i was on departed really quickly. Maybe there are other differences also but im not aware of those  :)

The my ferry link ship (Rodin) i came back on from Dover was the same as far as i can remember.
