Yes and the Adventurer was on Berth 49 (Irish ferries Berth) and had a tug in attendance for departure . The last time I seen her on this Berth was nearly 20 years ago when she was Brand new and they had the usual functions on Board for the VIPS etc;

Going back to the  topic of Hull 777  ..... I am south of the Boarder and I was like a lot of readers really very sad to hear of H&W closure  . It seems a shame that we have such a fabulous  amenity going into Liquidation and there again we see  FSG are unable to keep up with their management of their new builds ??.... This will never happen but here goes , If common sense were to prevail why cant the modules for the new ship be floated over from Poland to Belfast and the ship could be built here  in Ireland creating jobs and saving employment . Irish Ferry  Irish jobs, sounds crazy but will never happen .

We must remember the ship has won an award for design and Build for 2019. I have been on Board  quite a few times and to be quite Honest the ship is very modern and is much nicer than her predecessor, although I loved oscar Wilde and have many happy memories travelling with my children  I would have no hesitation to travel on  WBY, she is a fine shp and we can all lets say be a bit "PIcky". If people dont want to eat in the restaurants there are very nice tables on the outside deck and a Packed Lunch can be brought and if you are travelling with a young family it can be expensive ..a little planning that suits your Budget can  go a long way.

I have trawled around the internet looking for Pictures of  the Now named GNV Allegra (ex Oscar wilde) and have found an image of her here https://www.olbianova.it/notizie/trasporti-marittimi-attiva-la-nuova-olbia-genova-della-grandi-navi-veloci/.
I must say the ship looks better in white however whoever designed the Logo ?? well it speaks for itself,I leave it for everyone to decide themselves.

I am sure everyone will know this, W.B. Yeats has being voted Best ferry of the year 2019  source https://www.niferry.co.uk . Maybe we are being over critical and picky . I have being on board her many times and I have to say she is a very  nice clean modern ship .it may take a bit of getting used to .
The ship is way ahead of her predecessor and there is no comparison to the Jaded Oscar wilde, Lets face it the Oscar is very old and TVs showers etc were broken in a lot of cabins . Ulysses for me was the  ship in her day when she was new and in my books way nicer. I still think her lines are far nicer than the yeats .There is nothing wrong with the W.B. and I look forward to travelling on her at some stage .

Looked Promising at one stage she was staying, In my opinion she is a much nicer looking vessel than her successor . According to the below article Irish Ferrise paid 45 millon for back in September 2007

 I just heard from a reliable source  who has seen the Oscar wilde today.  She has had some New paint work, her name and her Logo have remained and possibly being re painted. As we know I.F. are very tight lipped about it but if  there are any clues  this Probably means she must not going anywhere but where would she be deployed if she is staying in the fleet  ??

Yeats heading to france 100% this afternoon at 3.30 . Inishmore (I think its  Camill  Laird) have   issues with getting water into the drydock not an issue with  ship , she remains in Liverpool

Food for thought, Aer lingus are now in a very similar situation to what Irish ferries were, they have delayed  the Launch of new routes to Canada because there are delays to the arrival of new Aircraft .........
