Quote from: giftgrub on July 11, 2023, 07:11:57 PMLooks like Estrid is coming back into service tonight after its drydrocking and repaint.

Interestingly it looks like Adventurer is going to miss one rotation with the Nordica covering its sailings tomorrow from Dublin in the morning @ 08.15 and from Holyhead at 14.45 before the Nordica departs to replace the Europe.

Adventurer has MES tomorrow I believe

Irish Ferries might buy Kent to allow Innisfree to transfer to the Irish Sea in the autumn

Anyone any clues as to what was wrong?

Quote from: Davy Jones on April 14, 2023, 08:28:17 AMI know she had problems berthing the other night when it was windy. She finally ended up on Terminal 5 (Stena) with the St David holding her against the berth.

Forgive me as I am unsure which berth is which. But yesterday all 3 IF were using the berth on right as you look out to sea. It was a bit chaotic with all the delays from that morning and Wednesday. Epsilon was loading when we got there about 14:00 and didn't leave until near 5pm. This meant Swift and Ulysses holding off the port. They brought Swift in next and as we were leaving about 17:45 Ulysses was coming in and went to the same berth.

There's a technical problem with the linkspan at T3

Quote from: A83 on April 07, 2023, 05:53:08 PMGreat to see IF investing in what looks like a very good ship. Can't help but wonder though with Nordica going head to head with Oscar Wilde [2] will there be over capacity on the southern corridor outside of the main holiday seasons?

The Fishguard route will likely close down later in the year as Oscar will hoover up all the traffic from Stena

Quote from: 12345teacher on April 03, 2023, 06:35:56 AMi was reading an article on another ferry forum (ferries facebook) which was suggesting irish ferries are chartering the 1996 japanese built "ariadne" ferry owned by hellenic seaways for rosslare pembroke route...

Very unlikely

Hopefully now that stena have placed the double deck ro ro nordica on the route that can be used as leverage with any future planning applications to get a double deck loading span put in place. Until then though we have to cope with what we got, can't even utilise the side load span that the europe used to use.

Afaik the side loading ramp can be used with the jack up linkspan at Fishguard as Europe is able to use it

Theres no side loading door on the nordica though

I wouldn't be surprised if salamanca remains permanently on the Rosslare - Bilbao service

Pelagos is a stern loader only and has limited passenger capacity required for the route

Salamanca has settled nicely in to the route. Galicia will operate the Portsmouth - Bilbao service once she's out of drydock
