Can anyone explain why epsilon is not sailing at the moment? Thanks

I don't the exact reason but the last couple of years it has been parked up most of the time over Christmas/New Year. it did 1 or 2 freight clearing sailings 1 year I remember. She returns to schedule on Tuesday 01.55 ex Dublin.

Inishmore returns from Birkenhead dry dock on 18/01/18 with 20.45 ex Rosslare.

Ok thanks for your reply.

Hi Chris,
The reason why the inishmore covers for the Ulysses is because she can carry 2200 passengers whereas oscar Wilde can only carry 1400.

The extraordinary circumstances for Ulysses is probably because she is so far behind schedule. The 02:40 departure from Holyhead didn't leave until around 11 and arrived in Dublin at 14:20. Which would mean the 8:05 scheduled departure would have to leave at 16:00 and she couldn't make up 8 hours because it would have to reschedule the times for the next 2/3 days.

Hi all,
Storm Angus has hit and these are the latest updates:

Ulysses running about 1hr late crawling at 12-15 kts.

Epsilon cancelled for 1:55 crossing and return trip but is due to sail at 14:15 from Dublin on Tuesday.

Swift cancelled until Wednesday at the moment.

Iom is ran this morning from rosslare to Pembroke but is cancelled until tomorrow's sailing from Pembroke at an earlier time of 14:00.

Superfast X according to stena line is running on time.

Adventurer has made all crossings but is taking a very southerly route for the 20:40 sailing tonight. Last time this happened she had to turn back after about an hour.

Europe sailed this morning but failed to dock at Fishguard she is currently sheltering further north of Fishguard.

Norbay, Norbank and European Endevour seem to be on time.

Superfast VII and VIII are on time.

Stena Mersey and Lagan are on time.

Does anyone know when the plans and design for the ship will be completed and when she will start to be built?

When the new build arrives and presumably the westpac express will be here instead of swift would this be a sensible timetable?

Dublin-Holyhead
Ulysses(full time) westpac express(full time) and new build(Tuesday-Friday)

Rosslare-Pembroke
IOI(full time)

Rosslare-Cherbourg/Roscoff
OW(dep Sat arr Sun) (Return dep Sun arr Mon)
September-May Cherbourg only then May-September 1/4 sailings to Roscoff and 3/4 sailings to Cherbourg

Dublin to Cherbourg/Roscoff
New build to Cherbourg Saturday to Sunday then return Sunday to Monday.
OW on Mon to Roscoff and back in Dublin on Wednesday. Wednesday to Cherbourg and back in Dublin on Friday

Hi,
Yes the OW is going to H&W. The swift was running today and was on time. Any ideas if and when the epsilon will be in dry dock and where.

I just looked at Falmouth arrivals and it says OW is due in tomorrow at 10:00 so she should be leaving rosslare soon.

I would love to see IF charter a boat like the epsilon when its charter is up. But also get a boat similar to BF cap finistere to operate a new  rosslare-Spain route. The cap finistere is a nice ship and can cruise at about 28kts making it ideal for a 24 hour crossing.
