All,

In case you hadn't seen this elsewhere, Brittany Ferries have signed a letter of intent to build a new ferry for the Portsmouth-Caen route, codenamed Mont St Michel 2.  Will be LNG powered and expected in 2019.  Same yard as the new Irish Ferries ship and bears a passing resemblence to her.

Length: 185m
- Beam: 31m
- Draft: 6.5m
- GRT: 42,000
- Passengers: 1680
- Cabins: 257
- Garage: 2,600m (130 freight or 550 cars)
- Power: LNG

Hi all,

Some advice please.  I'm going to be travelling across from Liverpool to Belfast with Stena in the next few months.  The plan is to take the train from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street.  I understand that there is a local rail station called Birkenhead Hamilton Square near to Stena's terminal in Birkenhead.  Can anybody fill in the blanks for how to get from Lime Street to that local station please?  Wd I need to cab from there to Stena's terminal?  Not knowing the area, it's all a bit of a mystery.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks.

SeaFrance Berlioz, Rodin and Nord pas de Calais have been purchased by Eurotunnel, via a company called Eurotransmanche.  They intend to lease the ferries to an operating company.

Let the speculation begin!

That leaves the Molliere, which is owned by a bank and does not, as yet, appear to have been sold.

Discussion Board / Stena Adventurer Gangways
October 09, 2011, 04:29:56 PM
Hi all,

I'm new to this and just wondering whether somebody could answer me a simple question:  are there covered passenger gangways for Stena Adventurer and Holyhead and Dublin ports?  It looks like it from the great photos on here, but would be be interesting to know for sure!

Thanks.
