I see Epsilon dissaperars off the IF schedule after Dec 29

It was schedulled to operate from Dublin to Cherbourg on the 29th, but this has been cancelled and will now operate from Rosslare.  As far as I can tell it will go from Dublin on the 27th to Cherbourg, then to Rosslare on the 28th, and back to Cherbourg on the 29th, but after that, nothing is showing.  It seems that the Epsilon has been moved to Rosslare to make a berth available at Dublin for the YB Yeats.

Epsilon normally delivers new cars to Rosslare from France at this time of year,

Interesting.  The Epsilon was showing until recently, that it would operate the sailing I booked from Dublin on the 29th.  Now operating from Rosslare on the 29th, this is the only Ireland to France sailing showing on the Irish Ferries site after the 17th, despite there being one from Dublin on the 27th.  Ironically, the Oscar Wilde, the Rosslare based ship, is operating out of Dublin in December.  I have still be be formally notified by Irish Ferries, or have my complaint to their support team even acknowledged.

It was to, but "just been changed to Rosslare" on the 29th and possibly for other dates too.

Discussion Board / Epsilon Ireland-France route change
December 03, 2018, 03:19:52 PM
Hi,

Does anyone know why the Epsilon will operate out of Rosslare to France on Saturday 29th  December instead of Dublin?

Just by chance, I noticed on the Irish Ferries site yesterday, that there were no sailings listed for after Christmas.  I was booked to travel and my booking was still live, so I contacted Irish Ferries who say the sailing was just cancelled due to "operational reasons" and they have given me a couple of options including going from Rosslare, without any offer to cover my incurred petrol or any gesture of meals or a cabin upgrade etc.

Thanks Ferryfan.

I appreciate the general Irish Ferries comments, but my specific query relates to the meals in Boylan's Brasserie on the Epsilon route from Dublin to Cherbourg.

Thanks Ferryfan.  That is what I suspect.  Certainly passengers are trapped on a long crossing and the options are to bring food or be forced to buy onboard at whatever price the company charge.  I'm doing the all inclusive P&O Ferries crossing from Liverpool to Dublin soon and will be interested to see how that goes.  They have charged me €97 one way for a car, driver & another passenger and will provide breakfasts, late afternoon meals, plus all soft drinks & teas/coffees.  What a deal.

Hi Paddy.  I did.  After being passed from one section to another, I finally received the reply "We don't have the ships menu as the food served onboard is regularly changing to improve the variety we offer to passengers travelling".  This is rubbish, because there is a photograph of the restaurant, with it's permanent menu sign on the Irish Ferries website.  This gets too blurred if I zoom in.  In the past, Irish Ferries would post the menus online.

Hi everyone, does anybody have access to the dinner and breakfast menu on the Dublin to Cherbourg route?  Irish Ferries used to provide a link to what was available on each ship.  Now it is just a gallery of pictures.  Thanks in advance.
