Flag change because of Brexit - yes, but can someone provide an explanation of why Brexit makes it necessary?
Basically it was because they want their ships under a EU flag for operational reasons as opposed to a UK flag due to the UK being out of the EU . You have to remember there is the reason given and the real reason . Brexit presented an opportunity for some companies to make changes that  would have been difficult for them to make  before  , to them Brexit has been a blessing in disguise .

Can anyone tell me what is revolutionary about this ship.  Maybe more economical but otherwise what?
Passenger accommodation looks small, very little outside deck space, otherwise just a more modern but more bland version of the current Stena interior design.
What’s better in this ship than the Superfast x - nothing as far as I can see!
Very disappointing the loss of Cardiff as a port of registry - nobproper explanation as to why Limassol.
The flag change to Cyprus was for operational reasons due to Brexit , all Stena ferries will be flagged in EU  countries going forward , same too for P&O .

Homecoming ...she is not going to Cyprus
Well with all the other ferries in Dublin flying the Cypriot it may feel like it's home .

She seems to have made a slow passing at the Port of Galle , maybe a resupply and /or crew exchange .

They also said WB Yeats would not fit Pembroke Dock.

We might find out more tomorrow morning.

They must have found a way as she’s timetabled to cover Inishmore.
Well she already completed berthing trials at Pembroke , she berthed stern in .

Hull 777 due for delivery in "late" 2020

Seriously doubt that.  Work seems to be skeleton staff based. I wouldn't be surprised if ICG don't cancel the contract for 777, and follow Stena and P&O's lead and go for a Chinese yard.  Secure funding from elsewhere.  At current rate ICG would be lucky to have 777 by 2025!!!

Honfleur seems a good 5 - 6 months away from delivery.
Did you mean to say " do cancel the contract " not don't .

I notice from the web cam in the building hall that the far end of the dock at the caisson has been flooded , this is usually  done to remove the caisson to  allow access for a barge in under the gantry  crane to lift in prefabricated sections from Poland , maybe a sign of something to come .

Looks like there should be a launch this week at FSG of the Ro/Ro in the building hall , so I would expect to see some announcement soon about the next IF build if FSG are still in contention .

Whey would there be Stena crew on board . This is  Brittany Ferries  operation .

I think Steven probably means Northern Marine Management crew. The ship is Stena RoRo owned and crewed by NMM which is a Stena group company.
Thank you
