I'm a Irish citizen. Do I need a passport?

Irish citizens travelling to Britain do not need a passport but are advised to take a form of identity. However, Irish citizens travelling on to Mainland Europe must bring a valid passport. Remember that the name on your passport must match the name on your booking, otherwise you may not be able to travel and your insurance may be invalid. Other passport holders should check with the relevant embassy regarding passport and visa requirements.

Re: Children

Children who were included on a passport before 5 October 1998 may continue to travel with the passport holder until the child reaches the age of 16 years.

We suggest that you bring your child's birth certificate with you as this will provide proof of identity should it be required.

If you require any further information please call us on 01 204 7777.

If you are going, why not call down to the travel office in Rosslare Harbour or ring 01 2047777 and have a chat with the Stena representatives in the office, they might be able to arrange a bridge visit during the crossing, which is really good and very interesting.

Any other info for the trip:
