Lots of delays cancellations the last few days with the bad weather.

Epsilon arrived in Dublin this am having delayed Sundays departure from Cherbourg by 24 hrs.

Inishmore only did one rotation yesterday the 8.45 ex Rosslare and 14.45 ex Pembroke having been cancelled the previous 24 hrs. Cancelled today also, picked up the timetable tonight with a brought forward departure of 20.00 from Rosslare act dep 20.20 per marinetraffic.

Ulysses is currently 6.5 hrs late with the 14.10 hrs dep from Holyhead leaving at 20.40, The Big U had arrived at 16.40 so it took 4hrs to turn her around.

WBYeats had an EU inspection so was cancelled yesterday and was 1.5hrs late resuming its schedule this morning departing Dublin at 3.25am. Is now on the berth in Holyhead after Ulysses departing.

Due to the delays over the past few days Ulysses and Yeats have now swapped schedules. a handy way to get things back on time!

I wonder when will they swap them back?

Best chance will be Sunday morning as there is no 0200 ex Dublin so they can hold Ulysses over to operate the 0815.

Apparently Ulysses has being also having technical and operational issues,  so it makes sense to switch the WB yeats to it's the Ulysses schedule.  The yeats is more reliable . I would keep the yeats on the Ulysses schedule until it returns from Poland.

IF haven't quite got their act together on sailing updates as both ships appear to be in two places at the same time.

Thats exactly what IF Managment have decided to do. Yeats will operate Ulysses schedule until Ulysses comes back from Poland.

Wrong!!!

I would honestly be shocked as a good frequent user off irish ferries if they took the WB yeats off the Ulysses schedule.  The Ulysses really needs an overhaul . Its constantly having problems as where the Yeats is a fantastic ship.and very reliable compared to the Ulysses.  There is more bad weather on the way .

Stena Adventurer is Berthing in Holyhead this week Bow on with the help of St David holding her on berth.

Ulysses now back on its own schedule. As the 02.00 exDublin / 8.15 ex Holyhead were cancelled.

WB unable to dock in Holyhead this evening due to weather she is currently outside and about to make another attempt at docking. Ulysses late leaving Dublin.

Stena Foreteller which is anchored off Dun Laoghaire in Dublin bay since the 27th is expected to begin berthing trials on 49 and 51A from Friday prior to providing cover for the dry-docking of Ulysses. She will take over Epsilon's schedule weekdays and provide additional freight capacity to Holyhead at the weekends while Epsilon does the weekend France service.

Worth adding for completeness that from Feb 16 until March 23, Yeats will replace Inishmore on the Pembroke run.  She next pops up back on the Dublin - France schedule from March 28.  Ulysses currently from the timetable absent between this coming Monday until February 15.

Ulysses off for her dry docking currently off Wexford coast. WB taking her place with Epsilon back on the central corridor.

Ulysses passed copnhagen at @ 1900 last night and arrived outside port of Gdansk at @ 0900 this morning.

She is scheduled to enter the port @ 1500

Interesting to compare the adherence to schedule of IF's WB Yeats and Isle of Inishmore. WB has managed to stick more or less to schedule over the recent windy episodes. IOI has not, it has been cancelled frequently [as it is today]. Now accepting that the wave heights have been considerably higher on the southern corridor, it does make one consider that a the Dublin-Holyhead route is much more reliable than the southern route in winter. One other point is that Stena Europe has ventured out on some occasions while IOI has remained in port.
