Has anyone any more news on the Discovery? IO've searched the net but cant find anything.

She sailed to Holyhead to load fuel, and departed for (I think) Venezuela on the 1st (of October), however Stena haven't confirmed anything yet...

The Stena Nordica is having its passenger capacity increased during its current refit , a further indication that it is earmarked as the Stena Europe's replacment at Rosslare.

The two newbuilds nearing completion have been allocated the names Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica.
The Stena Hollandica is expected to be the first to enter service.

Collision-course

Stena Line will not be providing refit cover for the Stena Europe in January , meaning there will be no service from Rosslare to Fishguard for two weeks in January.

Stena Explorer has departed for its refit , it is not known if the vessel will return to the Dun Laoghire service , Stena fastcraft services between the Republic and the UK are currently suspended.
Despite there being no passenger service on the Rosslare - Fishguard service while Stena Europe is away for refit and internal refurbishment , the Stena Seafarer has arrived at Rosslare to maintain the freight service , passengers who booked for the service during Stena Europe's refit are being accomadated on Irish Feries Oscar Wilde.

The Stena Europe is currently in dry dock in belfast, where she will remain until the 18th of January. Also the Ulysses is in Birkenhead undergoing her annual refit so the Isle Of Inishmoor has gone up to holly head to take over her route, therefore there is no service in Pembroke.

The Stena Explorer will only operate July and August and only one roundtrip per day.

I would have thought the Stena Europe should be on the way back to Fishguard by the time this picture was taken ?

Stena_Rosslare

The Stena Seafarer left Rosslare for Larne at 1830 this evening. It is hoped Stena Europe will take up the 1430 sailing ex Fishguard tomorrow afternoon.
