26th August looks like the latest return date for the Europe, while featured on booking engine well before that, lots of sailings marked Sold Out, which would suggest Nordica is vessel expected to be covering these sailings.

Stena Europe crew are in Tuzla waiting to take Europe home, hopefully they will be on the way soon.

Or they've capped bookings until they know for sure the Europe will be back and incase she's not. Doesn't mean she will be as late as you suggest!

Hopefully not, but earliest given 10-12 day transit time is 12 Aug if it leaves tomorrow, plus inspections by the relevant authorities MCA and similar, MES tests, taking on stores etc, those days will quickly disappear as it waits in shipyard.

Sounds sensible.  Certainly the little I have heard suggests she won't be that late.  It is a 10+ day voyage mind.

If Stena Nordica is operating full is there an arrangement in place to transfer passengers and freight to Isle of Inishmore.

Sounds like there's another issue with STENA EUROPE keeping her from returning to service.  She'll be back when she's back I'm afraid.  Just a shame she's going to miss the entire summer season now!

My understanding is that they are offering alternative travel via other Stena Line services

AIS switched off four days ago, so should show if you search for specific vessel but not if you are looking in the port area.

Image below was posted over the weekend but would imagine taken a few weeks ago, Funnel colors are subtly different.

Think it has gone back into a drydock again, so was moved across the port back into one of the drydocks.

Waiting on some specialist parts, for areas that were discovered during refit, would imagine engine room / propulsion system related, given vessels age, items probably not available off the shelf.

I'm sure that it will be worth the wait.  It's a tribute to the design, construction and maintenance that she is still in service; just look at what happened to her sister ship!  A great pity she wasn't kept in my opinion.  I'm sure other uses could have been found for her.

I thought that the bridge wings were going to be enclosed?  None of the pictures I have seen so far seem to show that this work has been done.

No, was expected that they might, but not happening this time (though never say never) works were underneath and unseen areas, engines, tanks, hull, funnel, props, shafts,, etc, then replace all windows, some ceilings, barista bar and shopping area upgraded, full paint strip back, remove damage hull sections replace and full repaint, car deck work, removal of remaining half deck 4 to give full height on deck 3, MES installation and exterior decks refurbished,hopefully also bathrooms on deck 8 got some attention, also stairwells were mentioned so hopefully a bit bigger and nicer.

Will attract plenty of attention from the enthusiastic ferry fans when it's back, spotting the changes, for the general public not too much different.

I guess much of the work people are expecting them to have done is pure speculation. It would be worth remembering that the likely purpose of such a life extending refit is to deal with many technical aspects of the ship, below decks so to speak. I would suggest there will be very little change to passenger areas which are in relatively decent shape anyway.
