Maybe Stena Flavia will replace the Epsilon when she goes off lease.

Highly unlikely that Stena would drydock Horizon for two weeks and then hand back in October, I would imagine they will either buy the vessel or extend charter.

I Wonder if they will upgrade Stena Horizon to same specification as Stena Mersey and Stena Lagan,

I think she is needed in the Baltic TBH, as Gothica will be needed back in Gothenburg.  Stena could always decided to purchase Horizon anyway.  Depends on what (if?) she's available for - a deal could have already been agreed for all we know.

Been a while since ive been on here some interesting reading. As regards the Ex Stena Nordica I do have a sneaky feeling she will be back in Stena Clours in the not too distant future. If she comes back to Holyhead she is tried and tested fits both berths and is very reliable. She is a thirsty ship mind so if she was on a freight only mode she can be slowed down to save fuel, when we took her to Fishguard to cover the Stena Europe half the time we only used one big engine and that was enough.
She too good a ship for stena to get rid of completely and of course she has the higher deck height compared to SFX so it might temp hauliers back from other routes.

As for the Horizon I think shell be with Stena for a good years yet, she's very cheap to run and very reliable  and does the job she has to well

I notice a lot of people referrring to the high running costs of this ship and was wondering if anybody knows if the conversion to run on marine gas oil, which was carried out by DFDS at Damen shipyard Dunkerque prior to her entering service, would have any impact on operating costs?

Perhaps of interest to some of you, NIFS will be covering the Stena Irish Sea refits on this page.  There will be ongoing updates.
(please feel free to submit any photographs of Stena Flavia or Stena Horizon operating away from their usual routes, or indeed any of the visitors to Belfast/Falmouth, via the contact link in the menu.  Full credit will be given as always.)

market knowledge

when superfast x comes to cairnryan lots of decker traffic wont fit on given deck heights interesting to see how much transfers to p and o  and how much sits and waits for v11 or v111

Stena Horizon on booking engine from Saturday Jan 30th taking over Stena Superfast X sailings on Dublin - Holyhead route as part of 2016 refit schedule.

Will be nice to see the repainted ship back in service, would assume full hull branding is being applied while in H&W.
