1st weekend of disruption since the Brexit related increase in direct France services.

Stena Horizon in Dublin and Stena Estrid heading down to Rosslare

ColinB

Rosslare seems to be very busy these days, not just with Stena ships but other operators. However, the Fishguard service is less often.  All probably to do with Brexit and direct links to the continent.

Stena Line updating timetables - lots of strange vessel movements - should become clearer when then are finished.

Estrid down for both Rosslare - Cherbourg and Dublin - Holyhead at the same timem no E Flexers on Belfast Liverpool, just Stena Mersey !!

SEA

I believe Stena Mersey is leaving Irish waters and
1.Stena Europe -Dublin Holyhead to replace Horizon
2.Stena Horizon -to Replace stena Mersey
3.Rosslare Fishgaurd closing for a week.
All the above is fluid and can change

Bad weather probably having an affect on the Stena timetable reshuffle. Horizon off to Liverpool a day early she was due to take the 0215 crossing to Holyhead tomorrow morning. Stena Mersey finished in service next stop Turkey for refit and stretch. Stena Edda has not left dry dock at H&W, she was expected to take provide cover for both Superfast's on Belfast to Cairnryan. Stena Europe scheduled to take up the afternoon crossing from Dublin tomorrow has not yet left Fishguard.

Edda has left Belfast twice and is currently manoeuvring at the mouth of the Lough. She was due to replace Superfast VIII this morning

Reports online suggest there are technical problems with STENA EDDA and that she won?t release STENA SUPERFAST VIII for dry dock until Friday at the earliest.

Stena Edda has just left Belfast again on sea trials.

Another night of trials, anyone know what the problem is? Will they regret buying from China?

Futureskipper

Could it be the same or similar problem that put Estrid out for 6months last year.

Unlikely to be another engine failure, and no need to take for a spin to check that, possibly given reports of vibrations at the rear while in service, potentially something to do with propeller shaft / shaft generators/ propeller/ rudder areas. No news has been reported on this issue but hopefully they have it sorted.

Next E-Flexer leaving China might be sent with container loads of spare parts if there is an issue common to the fleet !

Edda just leaving Belfast harbour now, let?s see what happens tonight.
