Stena Nordica has completed service on the Irish Sea for 2020 and is on the way to Gdańsk for drydock and refit before returning to the Karlskrona Gdynia route alongside Stena Spirit and Vision replacing the Stena Baltica which returns to Brittany Ferries.

Heading North from Holyhead presumably to avoid Storm Alex which is coming in from the South, crew will have an interesting voyage across the top of Scotland and across.

The Nordica has more than shown it?s worth to Stena in the last nearly two years providing relief cover on the Irish Sea including a rest in Rotterdam while on charter as a Brexit relief vessel.

Would imagine it won?t be too long before we see the Nordica return to the Irish Sea as the Stena Line fleet shuffle begins with the revised Stena Lagan and Mersey entering service next year on routes to be confirmed.

Stena Nordica now showing Ventspils as destination and has increased speed to over 20 Knots after pottering along at 12/13 knots since leaving Holyhead. This would be v strange as apparently has to drydock in Gdańsk ASAP.

Scottish Viking has technical problems and has been out of service since Monday. Stena Nordica will provide cover and then go to Remontowa shipyard for refit.

Stena's Mersey and Lagan are to be deployed (after completion of lengthening works) on the Nynashamn (Sweden) to Ventspils (Latvia) route a crossing of over 11 hours. Tehy will be replacing two other Visentini ships the Stena Flavia and the Scottish Viking.

Stena Vinga hasn't moved out of Cherbourg for the last few days. This evening's sailing from Rosslare is cancelled due to the bad weather. It looks like she has trouble managing heavy seas on the passage around Lands End.

She is due in Rosslare about 0500 tomorrow morning but I think she will run into some really bad weather with some 70km winds forecast

Stena Vinga stayed at home in Rosslare last night. Epsilon left late and is currently approaching Lands End from the north.
Pont Aven seems to have made it on time from Cork to Roscoff, I guess that was her last trip of the year from Ireland. One wonders what the landscape will look like when she returns next spring.

Stena Europe is tracking north in the middle of its normal route.  The next sailing is cancelled because of technical problems.  Wonder what is happening.

Later, she turned south west and headed to Rosslare at about 12 knots.  Today, she is up and running again so back to to normal it seems,

Horizon seems to be having some difficulties she was a couple of hours late departing Dublin this morning and appears to have had some difficulty berthing in Holyhead. She is has just left her berth Adventurer was due back today but as of now she is still in dry dock in Belfast but showing Dublin as her destination at 15:15.
