Surely Stena Europe has the new larger Stena Line hull logo? Was she not painted with it about 2009/2010? One would presume this is proportional to the dimensions of the ship and anything larger would look ridiculous!

Why would Stena Europe even go to turkey for a refit when there are shipyards way closer, Poland or Sweden, Denmark for example??

Is there any source on this or is it just a rumour??

A lot of rumors from several sources about going that far for a refit, nothing official from Stena on the subject.

Just a wish to make it slightly bigger, always thought slightly undersized,

I wouldn't hold your breath on an official statement, to be honest.  A case of wait and see.

Nothing wrong with Turkish yards.

they are going to turkey because it is much cheaper and the climate because they want to shot blast all the paint off the whole ship, 9 days to get to turkey and 9 days back rest of the time is dry dock, also the dry dock workers work 24hrs a day

If Stena Europe goes on an extended refit will Stena Nordica cover Rosslare - Fishguard during this period.

With the Stena Europe due to go for its life extending refit soon,  I came across this great video on the YouTube today with all the talk this week about E-Flexers and WBY take a few minutes to look at one of the older Ferries still operating heading into Fishguard.

Looking forward to sailing on Nordica again when she returns to Holyhead, one of my favourite ferries.

Might be a Stena triple in Rosslare tomorrow evening as Nordica not due in Dublin until Sunday, Horizon will be heading South from Birkenhead tomorrow morning to return to its route and Stena Europe will be in port from 16.30 tomorrow, of course only a possible but would be great photo opportunity.

Superfast VIII been circling at the mouth of Belfast Lough for 12 hours, wonder why she sailed at all.
