The Stena Nordica is to be withdrawn from the Karlskrona - Gdynia route on October 20th due to falling demand for freight caused by the global slowdown.
It is expected that after its own overhaul it will head for Rosslare to take up the Fishguard route to cover the Stena Europe while its in Belfast for refit.
The rumour is that the Stena Nordica may replace the Stena Caladonia at Belfast when the Stena Europe returns to Rosslare.
Word is that the Stena Europe is earmarked for replacment sometime in 2010.

Also, there is talk that Celtic Link are going to put the Diplomat on charter, but no word on where or if she will be replaced...

Anyway ships are so much easier move than market itself ;)

The Stena Transporter is to be withdrawn from the Harwich - Rotterdam service and will make its last sailing on 28th Febuary , it will then take up the Dublin - Holyhead service from 2nd - 14th March to provide refit cover for the Stena Adventurer.
On completeing cover for Stena Adventurer , the Stena Transporter will head to Rotterdam to be laid up until a decission is made on its future deployment.
The plan is that the Stena Nordica will cover the Stena Adventurer's timetable and the Stena Transporter will cover the Stena Nordica's timetable.
