Collision-course

I did'nt realise that we did'nt have a thread for this operator already.
An interesting development to kick off the new thread is that Seatruck Ferries is to launch a new service from Dublin - Heysham , a move obviously prompted by the withdrawl of DFDS Seaways from the route , no word yet on which ship will operate the route which is due to commence in mid febuary.

Collision-course

DFDS vessel Anglia Seaways has arrived at Dublin to take up the Dublin - Heysham service , it is not yet known if the vessel has been chartered or purchased.
Below from www.shipspotting.com , the Anglia Seaways formerly the Maersk Anglia

Collision-course

Seatruck has withdrawn its Belfast - Heysham service since 11th august . There have also been changes to the Dublin - Heysham timetable on sundays.

Does anyone know why Seatruck have laid up the Clipper Ranger and are not showing any Heysham-Dublin sailings?
Have they closed the route without telling anyone?

Seatruck statement
"30th August 2013

Dear Customer

Dublin – Heysham route schedule September

The Clipper Ranger will not be available for the Heysham Dublin service from 8th to 26th September 2013. Despite our best efforts it has not been possible to find a replacement vessel.
During this period traffic can be diverted to either the Seatruck Heysham - Warrenpoint or the Seatruck Liverpool – Dublin service. Additional weekend Saturday morning sailings will be provided to cope with the increased level of demand. Space on these services during the mid-week period will be in high demand which could lead to a small backlog of traffic at these times. We thank you for your patience in this eventuality.
The Heysham Dublin service will then return to normal schedule with no further disruption expected in the final months of 2013 or all of 2014.

Thanks for that. Is she on a refit break?

Caledonian MacBrayne will Charter The Clipper Ranger Next Week

Ahhhh to replace the Muirneag at Ullapool? So on that basis, the Arrow will come back onto the route, once she returns from her refit cover charter to Condor.
