Was looking for info on the ferry nobody seems to want the Honfleur (ordered by BF then cancelled due to building delays, Flensburger went bust then completed at Fosen Yards) this morning and came across this great site from its owners - Siem - Seven Yield

https://www.sevenyield.com/honfleur/

The good news for this ferry is it has duel fuel engines, both MGO and LNG, wonder will we ever see it on the Irish Sea ?

(Its currently in Gydnia at the Nauta shipyard (or next to the Nauta Shipyard)

Couple of good videos here also

A bit on the small side, freight capacity wise for most Irish routes.

Rosslare - UK possibly the best fit but would either operator want to pay for new tonnage for such marginal routes?

Really was a custom design for Brittany Ferries tourist-heavy routes, I'm sure they will find a charter/buyer somewhere, might take a bit of time to drop their asking prices though.

Honfleur on the move, current destination Fosen Yard, but where next ?

Seems to have been another sea trail. She's on her way back to Gdynia

Honfleur is off on charter to Balearia on a six month charter with option to purchase, so not coming to Ireland.

It does look like a nicely finished ferry and with the dual fuel set up, not totally reliant on LPG but Balearia have a few LNG powered ferries now so this probably made it an attractive option.

Now renamed Rusadir, image below. Have not seen official confirmation from Balearia, but looks like it's heading South.

hi from the pictures I see there taking the gas on bored from lorries and not using the container system she was designed to use

Well spotted, I was too busy trying to make sense of the cradles and tanks to spot that, thank you.

Seems she is on the Way to Spain. Past Skagerrak direction south.

She sails in front of Gibraltar and soon arrives in Malaga to start service.
