Cork - UK Ferry Routes Brexit Plan

According to an article in today's Irish Times ferry services could be run from Cork to the UK in the event of a no deal brexit with destinations like Fishguard/Bristol and Swansea likely. The idea would be to divert ro/ro traffic from Dublin port which is at capacity and would struggle to cope with any additional traffice which would occur in the event of the UK crashing out with no deal. Brendan Keating the chief exec of the port said it would require an investment of €500k to make the necessary preparations.

I struggle today to distinguish between the craziness of Brexit and April fool as anything possible :-)

We might even see an embargo on goods coming from UK to Europe in event of no deal senario.

Sounds like Cork touting for business and some Govt investment as opposed to any ferry operator actually having any plans to start a Cork-UK route.
