market knowledge

would be interested to see breakdown
one would think if freight growth it would be on the third ship on birkinhead
was it Hibernia doing that run last year
if on cairnryan why is it business taken from p and o

It's mostly on Birkenhead due to third ship, some growth on other routes but continuing to lose market share to P&O on Scottish route.  P&O offer a superior service to hauliers basically.

As Paddy says it was mostly the 3rd ship on Belfast to Birkenhead, which remember is no longer Stena Hibernia but a larger FSG class.  Heysham continues to do well, but the slow loss in freight to Larne continues.  During this period that won't have been helped by the success of European Seaway which was a more suitable vessel for hauliers than Norbay for example.

To be clear, it's market share rather than volume Stena are losing to P&O on Scottish routes.

Thanks.  I should have been clearer :).
