New look Stena Britannica as flagged above posts, on above link, will be interesting to see if all Irish Sea fleet get the green wave (Europe would need super sized Stena Line text) scrubbers look well integrated but cannot understand why funnel top is red, looks odd.

Ahh I wasn't including the ro/ro ferries. Adventurer did have a long dry-dock last year however they did nothing to the passenger areas not even a bit of a touch up and in fairness it is long over due.

Maybe so but that doesn't need time off the route.
Very true

Also, some great internal pics of Stena Hibernia by Scott Mackey on Flickr (as already pointed out by RorieLen) www.flickr.com/scottmackey.  Must say she is looking very well for a 20 year old freighter.  I will add these to the gallery section on NIFS in due course - unfortunately I have been rather busy with other things as of late so the website has been a bit neglected.

If the press releases are anything to go by it looks as though this is then now standard livery and all (passenger) ships dry-docked from now on will receive it.  It will be interesting to see how it is implemented on Europe given her lines.

Stena Line Irish Sea dry docking has started, schedule as follows:

Stena Hibernia - in H&W
Stena Europe - due to be leaving Rosslare Jan4th
Stena Lagan
Stena Mersey
SF X
SF VIII
SF VII

Stena Nordica has arrived from the Baltic to provide cover, currently doing berthing trials and taking on stores in Dublin, due to leave Dublin on Jan3rd for Rosslare to cover for the Stena Europe.

Not 100% sure but expected to then release Horizon to cover the Birkenhead twins Lagan/ Mersey, then Nordica will cover the individual Superfasts. Obviously could also go to Birkenhead itself to cover.

All the Irish Sea vessels are expected to get the new Stena look as recently applied to Stena Britannica, meaning the Europe will finally get its "blue wave".

I believe Stena Performer and Stena Precision are due to go to Harland and Wolff as well. Stena Horizon will cover for Stena Mersey and Stena Lagan while Stena Nordica relieves on the Cherbourg route. Stena Mersey also goes into dry dock before Stena Lagan.

Correct, Performer and Precision are also going to H&W this year.  Horizon and Adventurer are the only vessels not to dry dock at H&W this year.  Horizon has had some work done on the restaurant area while in service (http://www.harrispye.com/harris-pye-successfully-completes-refurb-aboard-stena-horizon/), so she hasn't been totally forgotten about.

Thanks for updates, to correct myself also the Blue Wave is now green on the new Stena branding, Europe will be first of the Irish Sea passenger vessels with this look.

Great to see Nordica back in Dublin, anybody know when she will be on the Holyhead run?

Europe is with us on Wednesday, then Nordica needs to release Horizon so she can in turn let Mersey and Lagan go to DD, so you are probably looking at mid February before she is back operating from Dublin.  Assuming everything runs to plan of course.

It will be interesting to see how Europe emerges given her lines.  Bigger text could make her look even smaller though, and clash with the green waves.  Theres the potential to make a right mess of her though if it isn't done right!

Stena Europe is due to leave Harland and Wolff tomorrow as the first Irish Sea vessel in the revised Stena Line livery, complete with green waves.  Stena Horizon is currently timetabled to take up the Belfast to Birkenhead service on Wednesday evening, following Stena Nordica taking up the 21:30 ex Rosslare to Cherbourg on Tuesday in Horizon's place.
