It just seem mad from IF when the swift wasn't even running so could easily have been moved to have a free berth for wb and epsilon.

Is it just me or would it have made more sense to Dock wb yeats is Rosslare earlier as previously suggested. Or at least move the swift off 51a wb yeats is currently being held up even more because of the berth availability. Or does she have to dock on 49?

January 29, 2019, 05:36:28 PMQuote from: RorieLen on January 29, 2019, 05:30:49 PMI've seen Ulysees get in of Adventurer many times before. So I don't think this is the case. I may be wrong though.Quote from: conor on January 29, 2019, 02:57:44 PM
WB Yeats left Holyhead on time and Stena Adventurer left quite late today (for their sailings arriving into Dublin at dinner time.) Can anyone explain why WB is now going along at 13 kts. Would it not be a slight bit of a competition. If WB Yeats gets in ahead. Why is WB letting the Adventurer overtake it like that. I understand if they're both going along at service speed. But it seems strange to slow right down to let the other ship overtake you?
Update 15:25: She's just turned North and is stopped. Very strange.
Do they not have slots for arrival at Dublin and each ship is allocated a place in the queue so I assume WB Yeats is letting Stena Adventurer in front of her as she normally has her allocated slot before Ulysses/Yeats?

What's the story with WB Yeats tonight? She's been in port all day. Weather doesn't seem that bad and IF show her 20:55 sailing as on time. It's 23:00 now and she hasn't moved.

Interesting route from OW this evening, very close to Rosslare. It's almost like she is trying to say goodbye to the port. ;)

December 19, 2018, 05:45:25 PMQuote from: brainferry on December 19, 2018, 04:44:40 PMShe's heading there for berthing trials after the Epsilon departs Holyhead for her 20:15 sailing. WB Yeats will then head to Dublin following her stop in Holyhead with her scheduled arrival currently 09:45 tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
Marine traffic shows WB Yeats destination as Holyhead now ?

December 18, 2018, 09:03:56 PMQuote from: IFPete on December 18, 2018, 08:59:18 PMI've seen that as well. It just seems a shame to abandon the rosslare to France route. I been on OW many times over the years and whenever I have sailed she seems full.
Oscar Wilde Video and photos have been unlinked from Irish Ferries website.

Would it make sense for IF to keep Oscar Wilde and run her seasonally from Rosslare to France when there is a demand. From October to March she can move up to Dublin and add capacity to the Dublin Holyhead route so that Epsilon can be on the France route for freight permanently during that period.
