Stena Lagan en route to Turkey for her stretching.

Interesting as she's still listed on the booking engine as the pairing to edda during the summer with Mersey the missing ship

Thanks Steven. It's interesting to note that according to the booking engine that Edda is replacing Mersey rather than Lagan as had been previously indicated

Does anyone know when Stena Edda is expected on the Belfast/Liverpool route and which vessel she is likely to replace, i.e. Mersey or Lagan?

What I don't understand is if this incident happened mid crossing how some people were trapped in their vehicles??

Discussion Board / Re: The Irish Times - Holyhead 04/01

The ferry companies are investing primarily in new vessels, the port that they sail to, or from, for that matter, can always be changed to suit operational needs. If Holyhead is really not fit for purpose business needs will dictate that a different uk port will be chosen, given the investment in the vessels. The fact that both WB Yeats and the new IF build could, potentially, sail Ireland/France shows the flexibility IF are building in, should brexit become a real obstacle for hauliers whose ultimate destination is mainland Europe.

As expected by many posters on this forum, IF is to name the new ship with an Irish literary name. Full details available at www.bigshipbigname.com, including a possible prize of free transport with IF for life...what better prize for forum members here!

Discussion Board / Stena Lagan/Mersey boarding times
April 28, 2017, 10:28:48 AM
Not the normal sort of thing posted here I know but hopefully no one will mind.

Taking the overnight ferry Belfast-Liverpool in July. I know the ship actually sails at 10.30 pm but has anyone any experience of what time you are generally allowed to board the ship and occupy the cabin. We are travelling with kids so would obviously like to get them to bed as early as possible.

We are travelling with our car.

Any information would be appreciated.

Nothing on stena site sailing updates but AIS is certainly showing her well out of position.
