Does anyone know when Stena Edda is expected on the Belfast/Liverpool route and which vessel she is likely to replace, i.e. Mersey or Lagan?
Her journey has begun, so won't be too long.

She is two months behind Stena Estrid so March would seem likely. Stena Lagan is due to go first for lengthening and front loading conversion.
Will Stena Lagan move to Baltic after lengthening.
Just tracking Edda, I've never noticed this before.
Might be just as it travels through the Gulf of Aden

Guess what the rolling stop off of Galle in Sri Lanka was for , Estrid done the same during her delivery voyage .

No it's Algeciras
In response to the original question, March. She has appeared on the booking engine BUT I've spoken to Stena directly and her maiden voyage is only pencilled in at present. She's due at Algeciras then she will head for the U.K.
Thanks Steven. It's interesting to note that according to the booking engine that Edda is replacing Mersey rather than Lagan as had been previously indicated
Edda underway again. Due Belfast 26/02.
Stena Edda somewhere on the Irish Sea her ais is not working at the moment but she looks well on course to arrive in Belfast before her ata os 0800 on the 26th

Seems to be back now on vessel finder and marine watch
She is south east of Tuskar. I'd say she will hit Belfast tomorrow unless she is going to Liverpool first?
They nearly had a close passing this evening.
Stena Edda at 12 Quays on Tuesday there are a few police boats on the river due to the presence of HMS Prince of Wales which was berthed at the cruise terminal. You can also see the Mersey ferry passing in front of Stena Edda.
only letting one pic per post
Stena Edda
First sailing tonight from Birkenhead to Belfast.
Is the 2-tier loading infrastructure all in place now?
Interesting video of a journey on board the Stena Edda.

Gives a good look onboard the ferry including boarding up to the car deck.
Hi does anyone know if the new ferries are drive on drive off or is there still the same reversing and waiting to get off the car deck ? Last travelled in jan 2020 and it was the old ferries
They are drive on drive off
They are twin-level drive-through on the freight decks but the passenger car deck is astern of the accommodation, isn't drive-through and is accessed via ramp from the upper freight deck. Although things seem to move pretty quickly from what I've seen they aren't entirely free of waiting and occasional reversing around the upper deck if they want you in a particular corner.
The rest of the ships are quite beautiful though so worth any minor car deck issues.
