Stena has confirmed that it is to procceed with the redevelopment of Fishguard port , the development includes a new yacht marina and extension of the berth to allow larger ferries access the ramp.
I would have thought that being able to accomadate the Koningin Beatrix that Fishguard would be able to accomadate a larger replacment for the Stena Europe.
There are also rumors floating around that Stena Line is interested in Buying Dun Laoghaire ferry port , and if the deal is agreed then Stena will withdraw the HSS service and replace it with the Stena Lynx III (rumored not to be returning to the Rosslare - Fishguard service in 2010) , the Lynx would operate 2 round trips a day moving to 3 in demand on the Irish sea recovers.
