Meant to post yesterday, Blue Star 1 used its speed on 28th April, leaving Pembroke at 17.09 and arriving in Rosslare at 19.47.just over 2hrs30mins for the crossing, possibly the fastest crossing from  Pembroke by a regular ferry.

A familiar ferry on the cover of the latest issue of Ships Monthly as the Stena Europe marks 40 years in service this year, available in all good newsagents and on Readly and from pocket mags.

Stena Horizon arrived in Holyhead on Sunday morning and hasn't left since. Does anyone know if she has a problem or is getting some work done?

Back in service with the 20.30 sailing tonight, Operational reasons for cancelled crossings, could be technical or any other issues.

According to posts on the Facebook

Looks like P&O are about to bring one of the two vessels laid up on the river Fal back into service, jobs being advertised on Clyde Marine website would suggest Pride or Burgundy is coming back as time in shipyard before service is mentioned.

European Seaway has made multiple drydock appearances before coming off service.

The News Board / Stena Line Duty Free Sales Up

No surprise, but given the low levels of traffic, Duty Free sales will be huge when we are allowed to travel again.

Just finished watching, actually very good show, was interesting to see behind the scenes on Estrid from bridge to cabins to kennels to car deck was very good, think they could have got more from drydock on Superfast VIII but obviously only so much they can show.

Great to see all those areas we don?t get to experience as customers but for the crew it?s their side of the ferry.

Dom takes to the high seas, shepherding passengers and freight on the crucial ferry link between Northern Ireland and the UK mainland. His mentor is operations manager Howard Hillis, who has worked at Belfast harbour for the last 21 years. Dom is thrown in at the deep end, spending 24 hours at sea, learning the ropes alongside the captain and many of his crew, before transferring to the historic Harland & Wolff dockyards, where the Titanic was built, to assist with the essential maintenance of a ship in dry dock. Can he keep things shipshape, or will he end up all at sea, in one of the UK?s most important transport infrastructure operations?

Great video. Sorry to see her go!

Sure is, lovely to see the send off.

There is also a nice video on the Facebook of Stena Europe and Inishmore passing each other for the last time after 20 years of sailing together on Ireland Wales routes
