Manannan now expected in Dublin next week for trials. It looks as if they are going to be using Ocean Pier 37 which has a ro/ro ramp and is 242m long. She previously docked at 49 but it's getting a bit cramped around there.

The News Board / End of Rosslare Services

You would have to put a lot of the blame for this decision on the poor management of the port, over many years, by Irish Rail.
I would guess that the ship has already been sold.

The News Board / Brexit warning from Stena Line
« on: October 19, 2018, 01:32:36 pm »
Stena Line have warned that they may end up reducing services from Belfast as a result of Brexit. They stated that ports were not ready and that the computer systems in place for dealing with custom matters would not be able to cope. They warn that the UK could end up being by passed with freight moving directly between both NI and ROI directly to the continent, a move which could have drastic effects on the UK food supply chain.

The News Board / Swift Winter Lay-up
« on: September 26, 2018, 11:42:16 am »
Does anybody have any idea where the Swift will spend the winter she is not on the booking engine for the busy xmas period. I wouldn't think she could hang around a busy port like Dublin for the duration of the lay-up.

Major disruption continuing on the Irish Sea due to 100 kph plus winds. Epsilon, Swift and Inishmore sailings either cancelled or delayed. SFX can't get into Dublin she has been circling off Howth since 11.30 this morning so expect a delay on her afternoon crossing.
Stena Europe still in Rosslare was due to leave at 12:00. There have been cancellations from Belfast to Cairnryan and some delays are expected on the Liverpool route.
All Steam Packet services are cancelled or delayed while P&O are advising of delays on this evenings service from Liverpool.
