Update from Stena Line:

Unfortunately, due to ongoing repair work to the STENA EUROPE at dry-dock, it has been necessary to cancel further sailings up to and including all sailings on Thursday 3rd June.

Stena Line apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

I have written this article on NI Ferry Site with the latest news on STENA EUROPE:

Stena Europe return to service may be delayed further, although still planned to leave Belfast at 23.00 on 3rd of June, it does not appear on freight timetable until 9th of June and then public booking timetable until 24th of June.

Hopefully will be back sooner.

Does anyone have any info about what's wrong with Stena Europe? It's a long time time to be out of service.

Image of the Europe posted on Stena Fanatics page on the Facebook.

Image posted by Colin Diesel Heater.

Area being worked on looks to be the inner bow door area, possibly waiting on parts to be produced before they can be fitted, though delay does seem to be dragging on.

Doesn?t look like Europe has moved into dry dock.  Still moored in the same place for a good number of days unless data is incorrect on position.

Correct, for some reason has not moved but has appeared several times on vessel movements list, Dublin Swift appears to be in the front of the drydock where you would expect the Europe to go.

On list again for 12.00 tomorrow

Stena Horizon filling in on Dublin - Holyhead tonight, instead of laying over in Rosslare as normal on a Monday night, the Stena Horizon is heading to Holyhead to take a Holyhead- Dublin- Holyhead sailing to allow the Stena Estrid to get some scheduled maintenance carried out.

Then returning back to Rosslare to take its sailing to Cherbourg tomorrow evening.

Stena Europe update - still not moved from position on ship repair quay at H&W Belfast.

And Europe remains berthed in the same place and Dublin Swift is also in the same place.  Things look to be delayed.

Europe must be f**ked up badly. Let's hope they can fix her.

4 more weeks ....serious issues with the bow doors .....very hard to repair and new doors would have to made from scratch

They must be confident that the customer base will come back to them after such a long period with no service at all. They must also see no need to bring any kind of replacement in. Seems like they're handing the whole summer trade to Irish Ferries.
