Work is well underway in Stena Lagan

Stena Estrid will make her way to Belfast from Holyhead this evening to take over and let Stena Superfast VIII go for dry docking at Harland and Wolff.

Stena Nordica is at Holyhead to take over Estrids sailings from the 2030 departure.

I dont think Ive seen it reported here but Seatruck Panorama has been on charter to Stena Line since 2nd September to provide extra capacity on the Belfast-Birkenhead route but she also came in handy covering the Heysham route as Stena Scotia was delayed in dry dock.

Scotia spent more than a month at H&W and finally emerged last week.

Stena Vinga is on the way to Cherbourg from Frederickshavn where it will take over from the Stena Horizon on the Rosslare - Cherbourg route from Tuesday night?s crossing from Rosslare. (Possibly going to Cherbourg for berthing trials on the way to Rosslare)

This allows the Irish Sea refits of the Stena Line fleet to continue as outlined on the below link

A few of Stena Vinga arriving in a misty and murky Rosslare earlier today

Class images, thanks for posting, Vinga looks so small compared to what we are used to seeing on Irish Sea, always looks (possibly an illusion)to be high in the front since the trailer deck was added.

Some zoom on the camera, great shot, you must have been in the Strand to get that one. Class

Thanks lads! I'm using a Panasonic Lumix with a 60x zoom though i only needed to go to 25x to get that shot. I took it from the end of a cul-de-sac called Rosehill Heights. Using the full zoom you could pick out the names on the individual ships  ;D

Great shot, amazing image regardless of camera.

Used to walk to the harbour from the Strand along the cliff top 25+ years ago with the dog and end the walk sitting by the lighthouse on the pier (holding onto his lead tightly)in the harbour (security was not like it is now), when they were building berth 1 and fishermen quay was even able to walk through construction site with St Patrick 2 towering above us as area was drained. Another time Cambridge Ferry was on/near current berth four and could have jumped onto the back deck if we wanted. Happy memories and great to see the harbour from that viewpoint.

Great memories of more innocent times.

Stena Horizon seems to be anchored between rosslare and arcklow. Not sure if this is due to the Stena Vinga arriving or not
