Hello,
This is for a novel I'm writing, and I wonder if anyone can assist. I'm wondering what ports in the UK were used for car ferries to Dublin in the early 70s (1974), and if there are records of timetables?
Thanks so much,
Sandra

B&I would have sailed mainly Dublin Liverpool in the 70s (think they didn't start sailing to Holyhead until the early 80s). Sealink would have run Dun Laoghaire - Holyhead at that time.

Matt of HHV ferry might have some idea of what timetables were, hopefully, he'll see this!

In 1974 the ferry wasn't a car ferry, It was a very old ship. Sealink were the operators, a division of British Rail. Eventually Sealink was sold to Stena and became Stena Sealink and later the Sealink part was dropped.
