Always be learning is something we all need to live by, today reading about the drydocking of the new Madeline II,

something strange about the images in particular the first image meant a trip to the Google which brought me to the YouTube

The most amazing drydock system I have ever seen. Just thought I would share it. Enjoy !

That's mad! I've seen trawlers and smaller vessels lifted out of the water like that, but never a large ship!

Yes, at first thought images of Madeleine II were photoshopped, amazing set up (but with potential for major issues, that hopefully never happen) relying on balancing an entire ferry on its keel while towing it up the yard, MAD.

Madeline II now repainted in CTMA livery

Madeline 2 has now departed Las Palmas and is routed across the Atlantic to Freeport. She is to replace Madeleine which is the old B&I Leinster built in the Velrome Dock in Cork in 1980 I wonder if this will be the end for the 30 year old vessel.
