Norfolk Line Belfast to Birkenhead(Read 6505 times)
Norfolk Line Belfast to Birkenhead on: April 12, 2008, 10:31:22 AM
I'm sailing from Belfast to Birkenhead at 10:30 on Thursday, returning 10:30 Sunday.
I am taking the photography gear to photograph shipping on the Irish Sea and I was wondering what the photo opportunities are like on the crossing.
Any inf would be of great help.
Thanks Rick

Firstly welcome to the forums.

The Lagan Viking and Mersey Viking operate the route, Norfolk's newest two vessels.

Norfolk Line sail from West Bank Road now (as far as I know), and are further out the harbour than the old terminal which was right next to the M3 Bridge as before, so you won't see much of Belfast.

Good news is if your luck you might spot some Gray or Harbour Seals...

Thanks Kieran
have some photos on my website of all the Vikings.
Shall get you some interior shots. As far as I can tell we will be sailing both ways on the Lagan Viking.
Regards Rick

Some nice pictures in there, pity it was so dull. Norfolk went all out with Mersey Viking's paint job, I didn't realise it was so bad...
